“Green” is a well worn shoe these days, with many connotations. Whether you are referring to the Green Party, the environmental movement, or cold hard cash, the word “green” rolls nicely out of our mouths, and happens to be my favorite color. I use it on walls, cabinets, tile, carpets, lighting, you name it! And I can’t get enough.

I just recently painted my fireplace green as well as the back door in my kitchen and half of the wall in my bedroom.  Don’t get me wrong – I have other colors I adore (see my logo where they are all represented) and use them almost as passionately, but green has always just made me happy.  I remember when I first started working with a particular client and she told me “i hate green, please no GREEN!”, yikes, this was going to be a challenge.

Luckily, there are so many shades of green, so for some, yellow greens are a no, while kelly green is a yes and teal green is a yes, yes!  After educating her on the options and the gorgeous colors and finishes that pair well with the right shade of green (hunter green cabinets with brass hardware for instance)..she was converted.

Some of my favorite green paint colors right now?  Pratt and Lambert Night Tide 22-15, Benjamin Moore Hunter Green 2041-10 (great on cabinets), and Farrow and Ball #287 yeabridge green
