“I grew up going to flea markets in Connecticut and I was always in awe of how you could find all of these “gems” amidst tables and tables of “stuff”. I started experimenting by transforming a room or vigniette with a few character pieces. Having that experience gave me the confidence to tackle everything from flea markets to high end furniture markets with a focused and uninhibited eye for color and superior design qualities.”
Kress Jack is a designer who believes in creating uplifting and inspirational environments for all of her clients – spaces that allow you to be productive in your daily life and that inspire you to smile every time you walk through the door. Kress is passionate about color – known to paint a room in her house on a Friday night, just to try something new! She is a flea market regular, scouting vintage pieces to mix with her modern favorites to reflect her signature “’lil bit country, ‘lil bit urban girl” style.
Designing a client’s home, office or business is a personal experience for Kress, and she wouldn’t have it any other way. “I need to get right in there and get to know whatever I can about the person, because I truly want to create a space that is theirs, and that fulfills their needs. I am a little bit therapist, little bit mother, and a little bit design pro guiding them into a “happier space” through a mixture of color therapy and good old fashion listening.
Kress currently lives in Mill Valley with her three children who are her source of inspiration and passion; “the people who have showed me that true happiness and success comes from running with the positive and never looking back!”. |
